Adjust ratio. That determines whether you get spots or stripes

How did tiger get its stripes? The Leopard it’s spots? To answer that Alan Turing, WWII code cracker, developed this model. He hadn’t the computer power, so he worked it out with paper and pencil. He realized that a spreading activator and inhibitor could create the diverse patterns we see on animal fur, feathers, and even the spacing of teeth. Turing’s model is proving a good explanation of how animal skin patterns self-organize.
